Mastering SkinTones

weekend workshop

In this workshop, we will explore how to observe and mix rich and luminous skin colors under different lighting scenarios. We will discuss the interplay of cool and warm colors, and how to keep your colors fresh and harmonious.  We will work with a live model to complete a series of color studies under different lighting scenarios on day 1 and will paint an alla prima style portrait from life on day 2. Demonstrations will be in oils, however students with experience are welcome to work in the medium of their choice. All levels are welcome. Additional model fee not included.
